How the hand is read

Card values

Number cards count at face value. Jacks, queens and kings are worth ten. An ace counts as eleven unless that would push the hand past 21, in which case it quietly becomes one — a hand still using an ace as eleven is called “soft”.

The house rule

The house draws while its total is 16 or lower and stands on every 17, soft 17 included. The rule never changes and the house never chooses.

Payouts

A winning hand pays 1 to 1. A natural blackjack — an ace and a ten-value card as your first two — pays 3 to 2. Equal totals are a push and your stake comes back untouched. Going over 21 loses the hand at once.

Table details

One 52-card deck, shuffled fresh and reshuffled once fewer than 15 cards remain. If the house shows an ace or a ten-value card it checks for blackjack straight away. You may double on your first two cards for exactly one more card; splitting is not offered.

Your purse

Free coins, freely replaced

Every visitor begins with 1,000 virtual coins. The stake leaves your purse the moment cards are dealt; wins, pushes and blackjacks are credited as soon as the round resolves. Should your purse fall below the 10-coin minimum, the Deal button waits while a note explains why — press “Reset balance” and a fresh 1,000 coins appear.

Nothing is saved between visits. Reloading the page starts a new purse and a newly shuffled deck.
